Tualatin Varisty Boys vs. Sherwood Varsity Boys

TuHS Varsity Lacrosse vs. SHS Varsity Lacrosse

April 8th, 2011

While I was thinking about, "What would be news worthy?" My Facebook read that I was invited to the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Game against Sherwood. Goal Keeper Spencer Nix said it was going to be a huge game for them, so I decided it was news worthy.

Defensive player #3, Medvec checks out his knee after being pushed down on the field and sliding across the track. In boy's lacrosse, this is legal. Anything that doesn't make you bleed profusely is also legal. Tualatin's defense got a lot of work during this game.

Number #3, Medvec switches positions after being sidelined by Sherwood attack man #2. During lacrosse, some players switch positions constantly while others remain in the same position.

Number #10, Rotta circles the crease line on Sherwood's side looking for a way to cut in to try and make a shot onto the goal. Rotta is a senior and one of Tualatin's most accomplished lacrosse players.

Number #10, Rotta tries to steal the ball from Sherwood attack man Number #11. In boy's lacrosse you can try to steal the ball anyway you want; you can hit, punch, push, whack, etc. Any violent verb seems to work for them.

Number #24, otherwise known as "Big Ben" jogs off field as the buzzer rings for the game to be over.
Not Tualatin's best game, but they still played strong. The final score was 10 - 2.
