At halftime, players take a minute to indulge themselves by attempting to drink out of the water jug. What they didn't know is that the water wouldn't come out like that.

Players stretch and wait as the ref's and volunteers determine wether a slash from the Lava Bears was illegal or legal.

Tualatin Varisty Boys vs. Sherwood Varsity Boys

TuHS Varsity Lacrosse vs. SHS Varsity Lacrosse

April 8th, 2011

While I was thinking about, "What would be news worthy?" My Facebook read that I was invited to the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Game against Sherwood. Goal Keeper Spencer Nix said it was going to be a huge game for them, so I decided it was news worthy.

Tualatin takes there starting positions on the field, talking to some of the JV players before hand, they said most of the varsity players were anxious about the game that was about to take place.

Defensive players #2 and #22 run around the crease to protect shots on goal but epically fail as Tualatin scores their second goal on Sherwood.

Defensive player #3, Medvec checks out his knee after being pushed down on the field and sliding across the track. In boy's lacrosse, this is legal. Anything that doesn't make you bleed profusely is also legal. Tualatin's defense got a lot of work during this game.

Number #3, Medvec switches positions after being sidelined by Sherwood attack man #2. During lacrosse, some players switch positions constantly while others remain in the same position.

Number #10, Rotta circles the crease line on Sherwood's side looking for a way to cut in to try and make a shot onto the goal. Rotta is a senior and one of Tualatin's most accomplished lacrosse players.

Number #15 stands in front of the goal at the starting position after Sherwood scored again. At this time, this was their 8th goal of the evening, Tualatin only having two.

Number #10, Rotta tries to steal the ball from Sherwood attack man Number #11. In boy's lacrosse you can try to steal the ball anyway you want; you can hit, punch, push, whack, etc. Any violent verb seems to work for them.

Number #24, otherwise known as "Big Ben" jogs off field as the buzzer rings for the game to be over.
Not Tualatin's best game, but they still played strong. The final score was 10 - 2.

Henri Cartier-Bresson; "The Decisive Moment"

This picture by Henri Cartier-Bresson of Marilyn Monroe really caught my eye because in all her pictures she's just so glamoured up and never really looks like "herself." In this picture, I kind of  feel like when she's looking away from the camera it looks like she's wishing she maybe had a different life where she could look a little more like herself, and there wouldn't be that pressure that weighs down on her in her acting life.
Bresson really captures her in a moment of thought, even though she is posing next to the tree,
You can still tell the deeper meaning behind her eyes.

Light Project - Direct Light and Shadow

This is my second light picture of my sister Samantha, and I love how the shadows turned out.
Looks kinda creepy, but at the same time, the way she is smiling makes the image great :]

Portraits - Samantha Take Two

Her face is going to get stuck this way, trust me, I keep telling her.
She always makes this face at me, whether I say something sarcastic, or silly,
She always makes this face.
